George Washington Council
Council was the first occupant of this building, remaining here from around 1980 to 1982. The building is located on the west side of Route 31, a few miles south of Pennington Borough in Hopewell Township. The use of dirt and sod piled up along side of the building, as a means of energy conservation, was popular around the time the building was constructed.
Unfortunately, Council was awash with debt and could not afford to remain here. Soon after Council moved to Pennington, the George Washington Scout Reservation was sold because of the debt situation.
