Some Camp Memories From Greg Pioppi
George Washington Council
I remember an area way in the back of Washington Crossing State Park that was called Cedar Bliss, at least that is what the old troop 37 from White Horse called it. I'm not sure if it was a camping area help by the council or if the state just let Scouts use it for weekend camping.
There was the frame of an old wooden building there with a still functional stone fireplace. The last time we camped there was I think around 1974, soon afterwards, the building met its demise due to arson.
Some great stories about "The Rock", Buck, Pahaquarra and YCSR; all great camps in their day.
